01Overview

In a digital economy where milliseconds determine financial outcomes and automated systems execute across global jurisdictions, reliable time has become critical infrastructure. Clockchain® creates independently verifiable proof of when events happened and the order in which they occurred.

The hidden weakness in digital time

Trusted does not mean infallible. Clocks drift. Synchronization is affected by latency, configuration, hardware, software, and the quality of the source. A trusted clock reports its best estimate of time—not an absolute guarantee.

Time can be manipulated. Network and satellite time signals can be disrupted or spoofed, local clocks and timestamps can be altered, and a compromised system can rewrite the timeline it reports.

Widely used clocks do not always agree. Systems obtain and distribute time through different sources, networks, devices, and synchronization methods. Even trusted clocks serving millions of users can diverge, leaving no universally consistent record across platforms, organizations, or jurisdictions.

The Clockchain response

Clockchain combines observations from multiple independent time sources to create a unified, UTC-aligned network reference. That reference is established through distributed consensus and immutably recorded, enabling third parties to verify time claims and reconstruct the chronology of digital events without depending on a single clock, server, or organization.
